in search of animal tracks in the snow.

February’s record snowfall and frigid temperatures did nothing to deter young spirits as Lower School students and their families hiked Neutaconkanut Hill, overlooking the city of Providence. April Alix, natural ecologist of the Providence Parks Service, led the children on an expedition to discover animal tracks and to learn about the winter habitat on the hill. STEM specialist and organizer of the trek Stacy Gale commented, “The other big goal was to get families outside this winter and to introduce more people to Neutaconkanut Hill, a nature preserve and hidden gem right here in Providence.”
