Wide-Ranging Media Resources to Support Student Learning

Each of the libraries in our three schools boasts a large collection of current print materials, a web-based virtual library with digital resources, and a large range of materials for students’ recreational reading at various levels.

The library media specialists work with school staff to maximize students’ use of library resources and acquisition of literacy, media, and research skills. Library staff also offer readers’ advisory and guidance, information on digital citizenship, book clubs, blogs, wikis, and other resources in support of the school’s celebration of lifelong learning.

Our librarians support the school’s curriculum by connecting library resources with units of study for each grade level. They also help students develop a love of reading by making it their job to know what topics and types of materials interest each student. The library media program is a resource for the entire PCS learning community, including school staff and families as well as students.

Our libraries include several special collections of resources that focus on various interests and aspects of human achievement. Your support for the libraries helps fund these and other enrichment resources for our students.

Feel free to visit The Paul Cuffee Virtual Library, an interactive, web-based tool that lets you search and use print and digital resources, as well as share, create, and participate in our learning community.
