Sports and Clubs at the Middle School
(Grades 6-8)

Sports: Organized sports available for Middle School students include co-ed soccer, girls’ basketball, boys’ basketball, co-ed baseball, and outdoor track and field. Like the enrichment programs, Middle School Sports are fee-based, with fees assessed on a sliding scale based on free and reduced-cost lunch eligibility.

Clubs: To ensure that all Middle School students have an opportunity to experience enrichment activities of their choice, students participate in one of a range of clubs that meet Friday afternoons during school hours. Clubs include Japanese language and culture, yoga, and community service, among others. Students also have opportunities to participate in other activities that contribute to the school in some way. For example, eighth grade peer leaders serve as prefects for sixth grade students. There is no fee for participation in these clubs.
