An Educational & Engaging Summer

As we start our new school year on August 31st, we want to thank everyone who made it possible to provide scholarships to Pat’s Pastured Farm Camp, Community Boating Center’s Eco Adventures program, and a robust Summer Academy with enrichment opportunities for more than 150 students this year! Thanks to you and the dedication of our staff, 44 high school students worked on earning academic credits in one or more of their core content areas in July while 110 students in grades K-8 participated in a discovery-based curriculum with classroom tutorials that reinforced literacy, math, and science concepts taught during the school year.

To add fun to the summer learning equation, our K-8 students participated in everything from STEM challenges to engineering projects to painting lessons, film, and production. They also got to celebrate their academic accomplishments with a field trip at the end of each Summer Academy week. Admission fees and transportation to Mystic Aquarium, Roger Williams Park, East Providence Lanes and United Skates of America were made possible by your contributions to our Paul Cuffee Fund. The smiles on our students’ faces, while at these venues, are clearly a worthy investment. Thank you so much for your continued support!
