PCS Students Attend Realizing Inspiration & Sustaining Excellence (R.I.S.E) Conference

Thanks to the leadership and generosity of donors to the R.I.S.E. Scholarship Fund, 8 Paul Cuffee Upper School students and 3 staff members were empowered, uplifted, and challenged at the 7th Annual R.I.S.E. Women’s Leadership Conference held at the Rhode Island Convention Center.

Here are some excerpts from their testimonials:

“I loved every part of it. What I took away was that you can decide what type of person you want to be in a situation or in life and who you decide to be, whether positive or negative, has an impact on you.” Esther Afolayan

“It was a pleasure to hear the speakers and how they all persevered despite the struggles they all went through.” Jazmel Casimiro

“My experience was amazing and powerful. I admire these women in so many ways…they have climbed to the top and showed others that no matter what, women are strong in so many ways. Their stories were really emotional and personal and it gave me understanding on how strong we are no matter what hardship overcomes us.” Rosemary Sosa Quixtan
