Head of School, Michael C. Obel-Omia, served on a panel at the Critical Transformative Leadership and Policy Conference, held at University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. The purpose of the Conference was to discuss issues and ideas around improving the educational landscape nationally, considering America’s slide in test scores against other nations. Sustainability was also an important topic, and Mr. Obel-Omia discussed the importance of reclaiming former industrial land and using it for play space for children. His topic grew out of a $400,000 Environmental Protection Agency Grant that our School secured last May. He also broached this topic recently at Rhode Island College as a member of another panel for the Schools Sustainability Summit.
