Paul Cuffee School: A Public Charter School of Choice

Paul Cuffee School (PCS) is a public charter school in Providence, Rhode Island, that serves a diverse community of students in kindergarten through high school. Our academic and extracurricular programs are designed to prepare students for success both in school and in whatever path they choose after graduation.

PCS offers a rich and challenging curriculum that honors students’ individual learning styles and strengths while meeting rigorous academic standards. The maritime theme that runs throughout our curriculum cultivates independence, initiative, and a respect for the environment; it also offers hands-on learning opportunities that both deepen and extend students’ academic knowledge.

Our staff of dedicated teachers and administrators have created a caring, respectful learning environment in which all students can thrive. All of our programs—whether in the classroom, on the field, or in the community—foster cooperation, creative and critical thinking, and the development of personal and social responsibility.

We invite you to learn more about PCS by reading the welcome from our Head of School, information on our mission and history, and how our maritime theme weaves through our curriculum to enhance learning. Our quick facts sheet provides a snapshot of enrollment and other data.
