March Madness Brings Victory to Paul Cuffee School

Paul Cuffee Upper School boys and girls basketball teams after clinching the
Coastal Prep League championship

Paul Cuffee Upper School Boys and Girls teams both clinched the Coastal Prep League championships in heated contests against Masters Regional Academy recently.

With a score of 56-46, PCUS Girls’ Team brought home its first championship trophy.

In a tenser game, with the score tied at 45 points and 7 seconds left, Paul Cuffee 11th Kevin Smith put up a lay-up that put Cuffee up by 2 at the buzzer. The Boys’ Team brought home their second trophy in two years.

The newly-formed Lower School Co-ed Basketball Team, under the direction of “Coach” Derrick Ciesla is 2 – 0 for the season, most recently triumphing over Webster Avenue Bears with a score of 42-22.
