Paul Cuffee graduates after our first Commencement Ceremony held at the Columbus Theatre on June 10, 2014

Cheers of congratulation rocked the Columbus Theatre in Providence on the evening of June 10th, when Paul Cuffee School celebrated the first graduating class in its 13 year history. Sixty seniors glowed with joy and excitement in blue and white caps and gowns, some sporting one or two gold tassels indicating achievement of honors and high honors. A few graduates held the distinction of being Paul Cuffee students since kindergarten, having won the school’s opening lottery in 2001.

Keynote speaker, Marc V. Patrick, VP of Global Golf Marketing for Nike, Inc., and a former student of David Burnham while at Moses Brown, delivered the keynote address, encouraging the graduates to “master self-confidence, embrace change and seek balance” as they face their futures.
