Upper School Selects Shakespeare Contest Representative

Audreys Rosario portraying Helena from Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream

Audreys Rosario portrays Helena, chiding the courtiers for mocking her in Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. Audreys will recite the monologue as well as one of Shakespeare’s sonnets for the Shakespeare Recitation Contest.

Paul Cuffee freshman Audreys Rosario was selected to represent the school at the state-wide Shakespeare Recitation Contest which is sponsored by the English Speaking Union. The contest will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Columbus Theatre on Broadway in Providence.

Her recitation of Helena’s monologue from Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream won her the spot over classmates, Sebastian Yinada (2015) who recited from All’s Well That Ends Wells and Raycily Castillo (2017) who portrayed Juliet from Romeo and Juliet.
