Paul Cuffee School Cares

Jump Rope for Hearts.

February was American Heart Month and nearly 400 Paul Cuffee students and their teachers participated in this year’s Jump Rope for Heart: a month-long endurance event coordinated by Marlon Mussington, the Paul Cuffee Lower School’s physical education teacher.

Besides learning about heart-healthy activities and pumping up their own heart rates during this “All School Jump,” the lower school students raised a phenomenal $3,048 from parents, friends, and relatives to donate to the American Heart Association.

This year’s heart disease education and prevention effort brings our School’s twelve-year cumulative fundraising total to $44,520 thanks to “Coach” Mussington’s dedicated leadership and unwavering enthusiasm. As Coach puts it, “This annual event continues to be a great example of how kind our community truly is!”
