More than 100 Paul Cuffee students and families attended the school’s Health Fair to learn about community health programs and participate in free screenings and consultations. Coordinated by Claudia Arroyave, our high school’s nurse educator, the Fair included education sessions with more than a dozen local agencies, as well as a meditation room, spa treatment area, exercise opportunities, and food preparation demonstrations. The two-hour program was punctuated by cultural dance performances, lively music, and delicious free foods, thanks to enthusiastic volunteers, performers, and donors. Agency representatives were so pleased by the turnout and students’ responses they look forward to participating again next year!
