The Paul Cuffee School Class of 2022 celebrated their hard work and accomplishments at Waterfire Center for the Arts on June 8th with an enthusiastic audience of more than 500 family, friends, faculty, and staff in attendance.
This year’s program included 4 members of the Class of 2022 – Patrice Buwee, Marque Howie-Nixon, Oluwabunmi Ogunmola, and Faith Youe – who shared in the delivery of special memories of their K-12 education, with affectionate tributes to their classmates and instructors sprinkled throughout their remarks.
Head of School, Chris Haskins, Board President, Brad Gibbs, Upper School Principal, Vivi Schultz, and Keynote Speaker, Marcy Reyes punctuated the program with praise to parents and caregivers, along with their words of wisdom and encouragement to graduating seniors.
Ms. Reyes, whose list of impressive awards and accomplishments were read as an introduction by Mr. Haskins, shared a personal story of hardship and perseverance and described how those life lessons continue to fuel her love for learning, achieving and being of service to others.
To signal the program’s conclusion, Ms. Schultz invited graduates to stand and simultaneously move their mortarboard tassels from left to right. Our graduates processed through a crowd of applauding celebrants and gathered for photographs, many of which can be found in our Class of 2022 Graduation Photo Gallery.
