You Made it Happen!

Thanks to your donations, every Paul Cuffee student got to take their learning outdoors this spring. Our Lower School children enjoyed plein air art classes and other field trips, as well as several days with educators at Pat’s Pastured on the historic Briggs Boesch Farm in East Greenwich.

Middle Schoolers spent their after school hours engaged in sports and other activities, like learning to row at the Narragansett Boat Club, or building model wooden sailboats with Kirk Cusik, the education program director from Herreshoff Marine Museum.

Upper Schoolers enjoyed connecting their academic studies to our region’s maritime history by engaging in a full day of interactive learning activities at Mystic Seaport. Others spent the day at Biomes Marine Biology Center in North Kingstown exploring the beach, or the scenic treasures and abundant natural resources that the John H. Chafee Nature Preserve provides.

Research has proven that hands-on experiences are memorable and help students retain information and associated facts. Please continue to support our K-12 enrichment programs so that every student can look forward to more field trips like these.
