Paul Cuffee 4th Graders Kicked Off the Holiday Season with their Annual Empty Bowls Event

After spending the early weeks of November learning about food insecurity, how to participate in hunger relief efforts right here in Rhode Island, and designing and creating unique ceramic bowls in art class, our 4th grade students, integrated arts teachers, librarian, and classroom teachers orchestrated their annual “Empty Bowls” fundraising event.

We are grateful for the families and friends that filled the Lower School cafeteria to enjoy warm, savory soup and bread donated by Blount Foods, Calise Bakery, and WJM Properties in the hand-crafted ceramic bowls made by our students.

Thanks to YOU, $1,006.00 was sent to the RI Community Food Bank just in time for the holidays!
