Athletics at PCS

Sports are an essential component of a student’s growth and development. At Paul Cuffee School we whole heartedly believe in supporting the student-athlete. The fundamentals of our sports program closely align with our school’s educational values and goals. Not only do sports offer numerous health benefits, but it builds student confidence, teaches sportsmanship and valuable life lessons. Student-athletes learn leadership skills, team-building skills, time management and discipline.

Organized sports are currently offered at the Middle and Upper Schools. The Lower School hosts a series of soccer and basketball clinics. When available, the Lower School participates in the Providence School Department’s elementary basketball league.

Paul Cuffee is in a Co-Op with Times 2 and St. Patrick for all Middle School and Upper School sports with the exception of Upper School Boys Basketball.

Sports Offerings Include:

    • Fall: Cross Country, Volleyball, Boys Soccer, and Girls Soccer
    • Winter: Girls Basketball and Boys Basketball
    • Spring: Softball, Baseball, and Track and Field

Try-out forms are sent home to families prior to the start of each season. A registration night is held for students who make the team. Families who participate are required to attend a mandatory parent meeting. All student-athletes must have a current physical on file.
